WHAT WE DO
Transformation Villa Rodesteijn
In Bloemendaal’s Duin en Daal lies Villa Rodesteijn. The villa dates from 1902 and was built in a Dutch variant of the Jugendstil. This special building has been declared a municipal monument as part of a nationally protected village sight.
The transformation
Cobraspen Group, in collaboration with Kentie & Partners Architekten, designed the transformation of Villa Rodesteijn.
The villa is situated on a generous plot in the heart of Bloemendaal. The house is surrounded by a characteristic garden, situated next to the Bloemendaal woods. Today, the villa has been divided into six luxury apartments. Each apartment occupies one floor, including the basement and penthouse. The homes are equipped with all modern living comforts without detracting from the exceptional character of the building. In addition, each apartment offers a beautiful view of the surrounding greenery.
Iconic monument
Villa Rodesteijn was designed in 1901 by architect J. Wolbers in a Dutch variant of Jugendstil and contains influences of neo-Renaissance style.
The architect designed several villas and buildings in Duin en Daal, but Villa Rodesteijn is characterised by the careful detailing and well-thought-out interplay of lines. The building is therefore image-defining for the immediate surroundings and has also been declared a municipal monument.
