Villa Sonnewende

Overveen, 13 June 2018 – The housing market is picking up and more and more ways are being devised to bring homes under the attention of potential buyers. Short film trailers seem to be the new trend in the market. For example, actor Hugo Metsers III is the main actor in an exciting short film trailer for the sale of Villa Sonnewende (Ter Hoffsteedeweg, Overveen).

Short film trailer

In the trailer, Metsers, an actor who gained fame among other things for his role as Ludo Sanders’ brother in the soap ‘Goede Tijden, Slechte Tijden’, makes a final visit to ‘his’ house. During this visit he writes a letter to the future resident in the role of former owner. Meanwhile the viewer gets a good impression of the villa via his last steps through the house. The actor leads you through the many rooms of the villa, to the characteristic elevator and the wine cellar. All presented in a subtle way. In this way, the trailer wants to show the feeling that the villa evokes and show potential buyers what the house has to offer too.

Villa Sonnewende, with a total plot surface of approximately 3,800 m2, is located 20 kilometres from the centre of Amsterdam and Schiphol Airport. The villa was built in 1903 and was renovated in 1913 and 1921/1922. The house has an surface of 770 m2 and offers nine bedrooms and a beautiful garden. Villa Sonnewende is a municipal monument and has retained its character and impressive appearance through the original style elements. On the ground floor there are several rooms with wooden and granite floors and beautiful stained-glass windows. In the central hall there is an impressive stained-glass ceiling. A lift connects the first and the second floor.

New approach

This new approach breaks with the traditional approach, in which especially the functional and technical characteristics of a home are portrayed. “There seems to be a new trend in selling homes,” says Luigi Prins, Founder & President of the Cobraspen Group. “The housing market is recovering. Brokers and vendors have to invest more and more to make their housing supply stand out and catch the right attention from potential buyers. Besides the introduction of 360 degrees photos, 3D tours and virtual reality shots, it is now time for trailers. Prins continues: “This new trend responds to something that everyone actually knows. Buying a home is not only the completion of a checklist with all the demands that the buyer has. Ultimately, the choice is determined by how they feel about a property. How the experience it. A home must feel good. In this trailer you can feel the special emotion between the resident and the villa. ”
