OVERVEEN, 3 December 2018 – The Cobraspen Group is invited by FIABCI Indonesia to the Global Business Summit. Our founder & president Luigi Prins will be present to talk about the many projects that have been carried out under his leadership. He will talk about, among others, the redevelopment of the sugar silos on the SugarCity site. In 2012, this project was awarded with the Prix d’Excellence runner-up.

FIABCI is an international real estate organization, founded in 1948, and has over the years grown into a real estate platform that encompasses a wide range of disciplines in the field of real estate. Among the members are real estate agents, real estate managers, property consultants, project developers, contractors, architects, tax specialists, financiers, lawyers, notaries, accountants, lawyers, practicing or in training, as well as training institutes.

Prix d’Excellence

The care that Cobraspen spends on old buildings ensures that they are looked at again. For that reason, many Cobraspen projects receive a lot of attention in the media. The old sugar factory in Halfweg, now known as SugarCity, is a very good example of how we work. Everyone agreed that there was no future for the 50,000 square meters of historic industrial heritage. New buildings had to be built. Cobraspen decided to maintain and redevelop the factory and the iconic sugar silos. The results are impressive: hypermodern office spaces and showrooms in the sugar silos. In 2012 this project was awarded by the International Real Estate Federation FIABCI. Cobraspen won the 1st prize in The Netherlands and worldwide the 2nd prize. The 21,000 square meter factory has been completely transformed while retaining the DNA, the soul, including many installations such as the boilers and now offers room for events.
